Guardianship

Guardianship: Legally gives caregivers responsibilities of a parent, but does not sever the rights of the parent(s). Guardianship tends to be temporary because if/when the parent(s) provide evidence indicating their ability to care for the child, the child will be returned to the parent(s), leaving the guardian devoid of rights.
