Joseph Peter Hyde and Adoption
Biography
Hyde was born in Germany to a married couple. When he was one or two his mother died of cancer and his father, unable to cope alone, left him in an orphanage. After a few months he was adopted by an American military family and had a happy childhood. He did not find out he was adopted until he found the documents when he was in seventh grade, while the family was moving house.
He is now (1998) minister of the First United Methodist church in Blanchard, Oklahoma. In 1997 he traced his father in Germany and met him in 1998.
