My Mother

I was sitting here just thinking of all the people I know
Some have loving families and homes yet there are some with no one and nowhere to go
At that very moment I stopped to thank the Lord above for you My Mother
There are many mothers in this world but you are like no other
I am so very fortunate to have you as my very own
There is no one like you , with the love & commitment that you have shown
Neither birth nor blood may have brought us together
But knowing that you Chose Me, that I will always treasure
If I had to have chosen a mother , it would have been you, I couldn’t ask for better
You have always been there for me, in good times & bad, come whatever
So now I would like to take a moment to let you know how much I love & treasure every day
I have with you
There is one thing I know now is true
There are such things as gifts from God, for I have one and it is You
