Biography

1965 -

American actor

Lowell was born in Denver, Colorado and adopted as a baby, and raised in Connecticut. He majored in theater at college and then moved to Chicago where he became a professional actor. He has appeared in many TV shows and theater productions. He is probably best known as Ted Schmidt in the Canadian/American version of Queer as Folk (he is not gay himself).

He traced his birth parents in 1999. They are still together, and he has a good relationship with them. His birth parents are Pentacostalists and his adoptive family is Jewish. [Last updated: 2 JUL 2004]
