India from Georgia

Future college student India, born in 2009, is a smart and kind African American teen who is a good advocate for herself. She enjoys reading, playing ‘Kahoot’, and listening to R&B and gospel music. Aaliyah, Daniel Caesar, Tasha Cobbs, Fred Hammon, and Jhene Aiko are her favorite artists. At school, which she enjoys and where she earns good grades, gets along well with the other kids, and her teachers love her, India enjoys learning new things and spending time with her friends. Math and reading are her favorite subjects. India wants to be part of a permanent family. She needs a loving adoptive family who will give her the attention, support, encouragement, structure, and nurturing environment she needs to continue to thrive and reach her goals. India’s family will also need to support her desire to maintain her relationship with her sister who has been planned for separately.
