Efren from Texas

Efren is a young boy who is often quick to be silly and enjoys making his family and loved ones laugh. He frequently gets up in the middle of the night to play and laugh. Efren has a great sense of humor and a happy disposition. He enjoys exploring his surroundings, and when he finds an activity he wants, he is attentive and curious about it. Efren likes trains, stuffed animals and music, particularly Christian. He also enjoys playing outside with his soccer ball. Efren has an artistic side. He enjoys tracing, scribbling on colored paper, and seeing pictures of families and scenery. Efren can sing his ABCs and repeat numbers with guidance. He understands basic concepts of colors, shapes, and categories. Efren communicates through a combination of some words, verbalizations, and gestures. Efren likes participating in small groups and looks forward to one-on-one individual attention. His caregivers report that rubbing Efren's head was calming for him. He will often take the caregiver's hand and calmly place it on his head or back. Efren's favorite foods are chicken nuggets, hot dogs and pizza. He is diagnosed with Epilepsy.
