The Door Of Hope, where I was staying through the end of my pregnancy and for weeks afterwards, was pressuring me like crazy to give them up for adoption but I just couldn't do it. They refused to give me a RhoGAM shot at the hospital and I knew I had B Negative blood and my boys' father had O Positive. I discovered I had antibodies present seven weeks after birth so having another child would be dangerous, for the child. I knew I wanted children, not as young as I was, but I wanted them. The Adoption Agency was not happy with me when I refused to sign the papers (I still have those forms) and my boys were put in foster care while I fought to regain custody. So I raised them on my own and did a good job. One died at age 24 and the other one just turned 52.
