I’ve done Ancestry DNA and suc...I’m trying to find my biological maternal family. My mom was adopted in Memphis, TN in November 1962. We believe she may have been born at The Bethany Training Home. I’ve done Ancestry DNA and successfully found her paternal side. I have been matched to maternal relatives but no one knows anything. It’s believed that the dad wasn’t aware of my mom and that the time he spent with her mom was brief. He was known to be unfaithful. My mother’s adoption was done quickly and I’m pretty sure strings were pulled. My mother’s uncle was the doctor that delivered her and her grandfather was the lawyer that did the paperwork. We know that her adopted mom had all the information about the adoption including the names of the parents. Before she died she offered it to my mom but she didn’t want it. The documents were supposedly never found in her belongings after she died. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
