Looking for biological parents

Hello out there... I am looking for anyone who can help me begin the search for my biological parents. I don't even know where to begin. A little about myself. I was born on June 25, 1976 in Washington DC. I was placed up for adoption at Luthern Social Services. I don't know much else except my biological mother was in healthcare and my biological father was of the Italian descent (I think). I am searching for medical purposes and for curiosity. Thanks to anyone who can help.
