Hello Everyone:
This forum is designed to give a location for professionals located in the UK to have a place to post to one another.
This forum is a section where adoption professionals from the UK can discuss issues relevant to them, network with other professionals, discuss legal issues, report scams, etc.
If you know of any adoptional professionals in the UK please tell them that this communication tool is available to them.
Warm regards,
I don't think there are any. We have social workers who specialise in adoption. But no facilitators or shonky lawyers out to make a fast buck out of another's misfortune. Which is what I get the impression you probably mean by professional. Judging by all the pop-ups and advertisements surrounding these pages
Adoption here in Britain is organised by local government and 'not for profit' agencies working to strict government rules. There is no such thing as "UK adoption", Scotland has its own legal system and courts at that level, completely separate from England & Wales hence different adoption laws. So do Northern Ireland the IoM and the Channel Islands.
