Hi. My name is Lisa and I am trying to help my step-dad. When he was just out of high school he got his girlfriend pregnant. Her family sent him away and admitted her to a hospital to have the baby and she put it up for adoption. This happened in the late 60's and we don't know if the baby was a boy or a girl. We know that the baby was born at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. The mother had to take on an assumed name and was allowed no contact with my step-dad. We think her assumed name may have been Gaye. My dad wants to find the child but does not want to create any problems for him or her or the adoptive family. So, to my step brother or sister, wherever you are, if you are looking for us, we love you and we do want to know you and share our lives with you. Anyone that has any information that may help me with my search, please email me. lildiz@sbcglobal.net
Thank you,
Lisa

if anything rings a bell please let me know.
Good Luck Searching.
I'm sorry that I can't be very much help. There are only two ways of finding biological family in Oklahoma right now. One is to use the Confidential Intermediary Program operated by DHS; or, get a court order for the original birth certificate for "good cause shown" from a district court judge who has jurisdiction in adoption cases.
At the present time, I do not know any judges who routinely open records for adoptees. There are only five states that recognize the civil rights of adult adopted persons and give them their birth certificate on request. Alaska, Kansas, Alabama, Oregon, and New Hampshire. Hopefully, more states will get on the bandwagon soon!
It won't be soon enough for me!
Good luck on your search, Mary

I was born in OK. I have no idea exactly where. But I was told The Salvation Army Home For Unwed Mothers. I was born 12-01-1970. Brown eyes and brown hair. I was also told that my birth mom wanted to keep me and did so for tow weeks and was forced to give me up by her parents. Im also told that she was about 17 and still in high school, where she was a drama student. I do not know if my birth father knows about me or not. I was adopted by The Rays in Tulsa, ok. I know that my records are sealed and that I can not have them opened. I have been searching for u for the last 15 yrs. I will never give up hope. I love you Mom and not a day goes by that I do not think about who u are and if u are looking for me.
