Hi,
Could someone share their court experience. My DH and I are adopting from Chelyabinsk, Russia, and are gathering our dossier together. Everyone has told me that they have never heard of a court hearing that hasn't gone through, but wondered how your experience was. Does this happen from time to time? If so, what were the reason you heard. There's nothing that should stop our adoption, but didn't know if a judge is having a bad day, if that could mean the end of an adoption.
Thanks,
Jen
Dear Jen,
I've heard of only one adoption that failed in court. In that case, someone who might have heard too many rumors about paying expedition fees to waive the waiting period simply approahed the bench and offered judge the money. I am not sure whether it is an real story or something facilitators tell clients to make them understand they need to listen to what facilitators say.
I am sure you will be fine,
Victoria
