still searchin... just found out that my adoption folder is lost..... I dont think I can even get my non-identifying information. :( Jill

I was searching the site, and i could not help but reply, see i too was born in Hollywood Florida in hollywood memorial hospital to be exact and i was given up for adotion too. i am looking for my birth mom too i have been looking for her for ten years. i have spent thousands of dollars on different agencies trying to find her. dont you give up you will find her. i was born (i think) july 5 1972. my mom was supposedly 17 years old and was forced to give me up cause my dad was black. funny how things work out sometimes. i havent given up yet, and i wont stop till i find her i know she is alive, and i wonder if she thinks of me sometimes....

Hi Mari! Nice to meet ya! What a coincidence! Can I ask (just out of curiousity) Who was the doctor that delivered you? Who did the adoption? Dr. Butler delivered me and I was adopted by lawyer Kasky.....now if you say the same that would be just to weird!! I have since gotten my adoption creed (I think that is what it is called) and it has NO mention of my birth parents. I also have received my original birth certificate and my adoptive parents are listed as my parents. Hollywood Memorial hospital will not tell me a thing (What a suprise!!) It is really ashame that because of this system, anyone I meet I wonder if they could really be related to me. I could ultimately end up married to a brother or even my father..... this is just not right. I get more and more frustrated with each day passing in my search. People dont understand, because they were not adopted. AND sad thing is they were probably the ones to make this stupid law!! OK- end of rant!! Thanx~ JILL

hey jill, girl, i havent recieved anything from hollywood memorial they will not tell me anything, i did find out from my adoptive mom that Dr. levine delivered me, however when i finally tried to find him, he retired and moved to Berlin. (i dont believe this tho) my adoptive mom is no help at all and i believe she is keeping stuff from me. however this does not stop me Jill, and you shouldnt either, dont give up girl. we will both find our parents. i know exactly how you feel and everday i find my self looking to see if i resemble any strangers, i dont know maybe one day i will jus run into her.... dont give up jill.

Thanks Marvi- I understand it cant be a bit frustrating when the adoptive family is not so helpful with the information. Memorial hopsital would not tell me anything either, and my pediatricians office had no mention of birth parents in my file, although it was stamped adopted all over it. I will never give up, it is our right to know this information. Although I am not much of a searcher these days, I never stop thinking about it. Luckily I dont believe I should pay for this so I will never pay to find out who my mother is. I really feel for searchee's who have gotten scammed. SLF Thanks for the offer. Hey Jill,I was looking for places to registar my husband Jason and I can up with you. I magine my surprise when another Brauwerman showed up. That's when we figuared out that you are Jason's 2nd cousin. yes that's right , but not biologically. your father Jeffery is Jason's father , cousin. Bernard Brauwerman lives in Boca Raton. I don't know if your father ever talked about him , my bet is he hasn't. This family is very closed off when it comes to family matters that scare them. You see Jason was adopted too. His parents have just lied to his face about his information, then say that they want to do whatever they can to help. I love that one.
