I am looking for my brother who was born
on or about June 4 in the year l964. You were born in Memphis Tennessee at Memphis City Hospital. Mother died right after your birth. Your name at birth was Marc Anthony Baker.
Father died before birth. You were put up for adoption upon mother's death. I had gone through the Tennessee Home For Children in 1949. We have eight other brothers and sisters who had not gone through the home but were then seperated upon our mothers death.

INFORMATION THAT IS AVAILABLE IN YOUR STATE:
Non-identifying informationӔ is information from your adoption file about your birth parents. It generally includes ages, marital status, states of birth, education, religion, occupations and a physical description of your birth parents. It should also include the reason for relinquishment and may include information about your aunts, uncles and grandparents. It is called non-identifying informationӔ because it does not include any identifying information such as names, addresses or social security numbers. If you already have your non-identifying information but it is information given to your adoptive parents at the time of your adoption you should re-apply for the non-identifying information. Agencies are giving out much more comprehensive information now that they did in the past.
Mutual Consent RegistryӔ is a registry where adoptees and birth parents can register the adoption information. If both parties register normally the agency responsible for the registry will notify both parties that consent has been given to contact each other.

Does any of this sound familiar? could we e exchange pictures. I have one of second grade. A picture speaks a thousand words.
I'm in my 50's Just found out the family I thought I was born into is NOT my family. I may have other siblings. The names were changed several times after birth.
Due to technology and instant communication the secret is out. Please if you were born between 1948 and 1951 and have always gotten the run around about your adoption or in my case name change contact me. The only way for me to find the others is by photos. Also, the names Byrd, Cooper, Hadley, Cunningham, and Stratton have come up. I'm pretty sure one set of names of the girls are Carol or Carolyn, Nora , Wanda, Nancy, and Josephine. Don't know the boys names. I don't care what your certificate of live birth states. I can explain later. . I also think we have a female sibling born around 1956.

Hi...thank you for responding to my search, however the brother I am looking for was born June 7,1964 in Memphis Tn.
You yourself may have had family that went through the "Tennessee Home for Children" aka "THC"...Have you heard of them? A big black market baby scandal and it was closed in the early fifties....Get back to me and let me know as I may be able to turn you on to possibilities..I will wait your response....
