I'm looking for some idea's for college majors in the adoption area. I think I want to be an adoption facilitator, but I'm not sure! Could someone please email me...or post back and give me some ideas/information? I really want a job in this industry. Thank you!

Many people working in the various adoption fields have Masters of Social Work degrees, and a number of these jobs require it. As an undergrad it is not as important what you specialize in as long as you learn to: write well, think creatively, and manage your time and your life. These skills are important for graduate work and any job you pursue, as well as being useful likeskills personally. You could major in English, Sociology or Psychology, Education, General Studies, or any area that seems to intrigue you. I would also suggest that you talk to some people working in the adoption fields and ask them what they feel was helpful preparation. Good luck in your pursuits, and enjoy the learning process. (I was an academic college counselor for a number of years.)
