Searching for birth family, male born 6/15/1972

I am a biracial male born 6/15/1972, in DC, i was told that My birth mother died of Multiple Sclerosis and that my father was black and my mother was white. I would really like to know my mothers name if nothing else. It appears I was in foster care when I was 15 months to a family in Maryland. Please help!
