don't give up!! I'm not, it just takes time and patience. If we never find them, well we tried the best we could. Just post as many sites as possible and one day when they search, they may find you.... However, never stop looking and keep your name in the phone book. I found my mother by the phone book. That was the easy one. My brother and sister were probably adopted, and with that the name changes and maybe they don't remember me. Good luck with your search. Let me know if I can help in anyway. I will tell you what works with me and what doesn't. Keep in touch....
If you know their birthdates, and what county they were born in, you can go to the vital records and look them up by birth date.
I tried to get a birth certificate for a brother or sister. I sent by mail. Gave all the info, but got a nasty letter back stating "you may be looking for pre-adoptive info ... etc." But I want to know.
Sheesh! The person was born in 1920 and could have been dead. I wouldn't have the slightest idea of what name he/she could have now. I doubt the child was given a name.
