I am currently in the process of adopting from another country, but had considered Georgia at an earlier date. Just wondered if there anyone knows any updates about the situation there with adoptions? I am trying to keep updated with countries that I would like to consider for my second adoption.

Just thought I'd post a quick update to my earlier question about Georgia adoptions. I contacted one of the agencies who was working with Georgian adoptions prior to the shutdown. They said that Georgia will soon be opening again to adoption, but the process will become very similar to adoptions from Russia and other countries in the region. Bottom line: It will be impossible to adopt an infant under 6 months.
