There is quite a bit posted regarding this question in the thread "referral and timeframe questions". Both Rebecca and I answered those questions as thoroughly as we knew. I went through my documentation from the adoption and posted as to how long our adoption took. This may help you greatly in understaning the process. Hope this helps!

It's so great to have you guys out there who are farther along in the process than I am. I've done tons of research and have corresponded with you and reading this stuff helps keep my vision clear about what to expect. I too am working with Faith International and was wondering from "Spanzeri", how long you were in Panama and did you have to make more than one trip?
As for airfare, it's definitely least expensive if you get roundtrip tickets and if you have to change your flight then you only have to pay an additional $100 typically. I have travelled to Panama numerous times in the last few years and typically my airfare roundtrip from Newark to Panama City (Tocumen) was from $350 to $450 depending on when you book. Most folks don't know this but most airlines have their lowest rates posted on Tuesday evenings. Why I'm not sure but that's when I have been successful in getting really affordable flights both domestic and international and I do travel quite often. Hope that info helps. You must keep the faith as there is definitely a bigger plan and when you get your child/children, you'll know they are the exact child you were meant to receive! :D
