I have recently signed the registry at the Gladney Center and of course now anxiously awaiting a reply. Has anybody successfully reunited through their registry and if so how long from initial registration until some kind of word from the Gladney Center that there was a possible match?
Birthmother anxiously awaiting.
HI, I have recently sent in my adoption registry too. It takes about four weeks to process. If you are anxious call 1800 Gladney to see if there is a match!! Good luck... also remember if there is a match, a one hour counseling session is prefered in order to recieve identifying information!

Thank you so much for replying. I do know that counselling is preferred and that is fine. I just didn't know if they would contact even if there wasn't a match so that was why I raised the question. I had written them a while back and asked for updated information but they had not received any from the adoptee or her family since my last request which unfortunately was several years ago. I am keeping my fingers crossed though.
Thanks again -
Try going to www.txcare.org and posting... I am almost a 100% sure I found my bmom on there, but i want to do things formally!
Well, I heard back from the Gladney Center and unfortunately she has not registered. I am still keeping my fingers crossed that someday she will register and we can meet.
My friend who placed a child with the Gladney Center 23 years ago had her son show up on her front door steps a couple of months ago and this has been a great reunion so far for them.
