Hello, we are in Texas now and just wondering if there are others out there in the military who are stationed here at this time and have or mabe in the process of adopting. I would love to hear from you.
We have just started and found an agency that we are going to work with. It can be lonely in the military, and support is always great. Especialy when you have things in common. Hope to hear from you soon. -The Jones

I was just stationed here in Texas, Corpus Christi. My husband and I are also looking to adopt. We would like to adopt a child that is close to my sons age and also a new born. We are not picky on gender or race. Since I have been diagonosed with never being able to have children my heart feels like I have a missing piece. I love kids so much. My 9yr old is a big mama's boy and he wants siblings also.

Hello,
My husband and I are adopting a child from Ethiopia. He is almost 3 yrs. old. In fact, my husband left a week ago, and will be bringing him home Saturday.
We are using Adoption Advocates International out of Port Angeles, WA.
There are many children of ALL ages in need of adoption in Ethiopia. Older children, babies, toddlers, sibbling groups, and so on. You can adoptmore than one child at a time. I know of a few who are adopting 3 at once. The children do NOT have to be related to be adopted together, however.
I am glad that you are interested in adoption. My husband and I do not have any fertility problems, but have loved our experience so far. We visited our child a few months back and now he will be home in less than a week! If you are interested in the agency or adopting from Ethiopia I can give you contact info. Or just go online at http://adoptionadvocates.org and get the info there. I hope all works out for you. -Dani
Hello we are actually stationed above you in Altus, Ok. We have finally been placed with a 2 year old child this month. We have found that there are some unique challenges to being in the military and adopting. Which part of texas are you in? We know a couple stationed in San Antonio who have adopted to children as babies and their boys are in the 4th grade now. If you need someone to talk to face to face they are a great christian couple to talk to. Email back if we can put you in contact with them.

We have 3 bio. kids, all boys, ages 8 - 16 and hope to adopt a girl between the ages of birth and 6 yrs. of age. We will foster, regardless of whether we are chosen as an adoptive placement for a child. Feel free to email me, whether you want to discuss kids or military stuff. Im also an FRG leader for my hubby's unit. malificient (aka. karen)
