I am a bmother and currently in a very new reunion. My bdaughter searched for me and her phone call was a total shock for me and at times I am not coping very well. Our first meeting was the middle of Dec. 2003 and we are in the process of setting up another visit to meet her husband and 2 children. I have spent the better part of the past two days searching on the web for any information on being a bparent in reunion and was extremely dissapointed I was unable to find any site even closely related to anyone living in Montana. Luckily this afternoon I ran across this web sit and forum and I finally feel a bit of relief. Living here in Montana we all know we lack the opportunites of the bigger areas and cities. Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining that I live in Montana, I just feel it is one of the downfalls of living here and I have lived here my entire life. In my search for information, I ran across a very interesting article that said many bmothers who spent their last months of pregnancy in a maternity home wish they could locate and talk with anyone who resided at the home the same time she did. Reading that was such a surprise to me as I have been thinking the same thing. I spent the last two months of my pregnancy at the Helena Florence Crittenton Home and would like to know if there is anyone out there who spent time at the FCH the same time I did, which was Jan. 1, 1968 through March 1, 1968. I know that 36 years is a very long time, but if there is anyone out there I would so appreciate hearing from you. I have been searching through my memories and realize that so many are hiding somewhere. Upon reading the information I have found the past two days one thing I can't remember is if we actually had any professional counselling or not and there are a few other questions I have that I can't answer from my own memory. I also have another question I want to post on the forum, but I am awaiting a message from our mediator to see if it is within the rules to post said questions. I am now running out of message space so am going to end here. I hope I hear from all of you out there as I so need someone to talk to. Lonely in Montana.
Margenek,
Welcome to the forums! I hope you're able to find the support you need! There are a number of reunited birthmothers on the forum that might be able to offer you some support, even tho they arent in Montana.
Good luck with your reunion!

Hi, I am a birthmother that was in the florence crittenton home in Helena but in a different year than you were. I have been in reunion for 8 years with my daughter that I gave up for adoption. I was in the home in 1982 but if you would like someone to talk to, let me know.
