55 ISO birth family

I was born on June 15, 1955. I believe that my birth name may have been James. I have lived in Shreveport all of my life, but I am not sure where I was born. My adopted parents were always very evasive about my birth family. I was probably adopted through a Catholic charity or orphanage. There may have been one in the Greenwood area. Please help - I am not sure where to begin looking.

I am in search of a 1/2 brother who was born in shreveport but i think '57 is to early but i have to try. does the maiden name of brown or married name of hay ring any bells for ya?
