Just what the subject says. I am male, 35, born on October 12, 1968, in New Hartford, NY - most likely St. Luke's Hospital since that's the only hospital there. I'm looking for any information I can find on my birth mother since I basically know nothing. My wife and I have a 2 yr. old son and I just want to know there isn't a history of serious medical problems in the family.
As an update to the original post- I've since discovered that my birth mother was 19-20 years old, a college student from New Jersey, staying with an Aunt in Herkimer County until I was born. She is of Irish/German descent, described as medium height with light brown hair, blue eyes, and a warm, pleasant smile. I'm also told she was in the drum corps in high school and her parents owned their own business. My birth father was 6'4", blonde hair and blue eyes, and his parents also owned their own business. My parents were a couple for several years before I was born but, with college and being so young, they couldn't afford to keep me, though my records show they intended to get married after college. I know now there were no serious medical conditions with either parent (the worst thing noted being hayfever) but I am interested in finding out more if there's more to find.

It's now been four years and I still haven't had any luck in finding my birth parents, though I have to admit I haven't really been trying very hard. I _am_ interested in finding my birth parents, however, and I'd like to start my search again as soon as possible. Can anyone suggest a fresh approach?
Seems like I only do this every couple of years but here I am again and I'm still looking. I took some preliminary steps last year by contacting an agency to help me find my birth mother but the cost at the time was just too prohibitive. I still want to find my birth parents, however, so I'd love to hear from anyone here who's had good luck without spending thousands of dollars.
