I have my original birth certificate, so I know the name given to me by my birth mother. What is my next move? Can I contact local hospitals and ask from my birth records?I was adopted through Catholic Charities, I am not going to pay them them the large amount of money they are asking to possible not get any information about my birth parents.Any assistance would be appreciated.

Try posting the info on your birth certificate - it may be a true birth certificate, or it may be falsified - listing physician name may help - next, check out the physician & see if he/she was licensed. Also, is the physician's signature signed or typed? And the hospital Registrar (signed or typed)? Both of these go to credibility. trust nothing, verify everything, be open to the possibility of 'strange but true'. Good luck!

I am pretty sure that Jamey was adopted at birth, although I have no way of knowing that for sure. I know my mother didn't keep him for any amount of time.
You are a search angel? This is my first attempt at finding my brother and to tell you the truth I don't think I have enough information to be successful. It gives me hope to know that there are people like yourself who would give their time unselfishly to help people they don't even know.
I don't know if my brother even knows he was adopted, or maybe he has no desire to be found. Maybe he's searching as well. These possibilities are enough to question every move I make regarding this search. But this search will be much less stressful knowing you are helping me.
God Bless You Godival!!
