Does anyone know of any really good books for birthmothers? Many in our faith advocate the relinquishment of children born to young mothers, but I'm having a hard time finding books to help support the young mothers who make this decision.
Our young niece has the maturity and foresight to heed this great advice, and has chosen my husband and I to parent this beautiful angel she is now carrying. She will be starting counseling soon, and I would really like to supplement that with words of advice and encouragement from others who have made the same decision.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.:)

I checked out a lot of books from the public library. I got a ton of different perspectives. Most of them had further reference materials listed in the back. I'm sure the caseworkers at LDS Family Services may be able to recommend a few books. After I placed, my cw made photocopies of a chapter or two of a book that she had there that was really sweet - on expressing grief and such (I'll post the title when I find it). I would ask there first for resources, and titles, if you're looking to purchase. I'm sure they're still willing to talk with you, even if the adoption will not be facilitated through them.
