Can anyone give me some quick info on this, My son is coming home with this problem and I don't know what formula and stuff to send to Ethiopia in just a few weeks. He is 16 months, 16 pounds and 28 inches. He doesn't even hit the growth charts, he is the size of a 6-9 month old. So, has anyone had any experience with this. Thanks,
I don't know, but I would suggest talking to a pediatrician.... Then Off the top of my head, stuff like pediasure, rice cereal made with formula instead of water.....etc...

I've heard of a teaspoon of canola oil added to formula or whole milk, some have used heavy whipping cream, but that could be hard on his system and introduced slowly. Adding butter to food. Those smelly little cans of hot dogs are higher in fat than the Gerber Graduates. Whatever you do to help him start growing make sure you start out slowly. I had a girl that was a tad under so she got snacks such as avacodo and chedder cheese slices. She caught up-2 pounds in 2 months:cheer: .
thats a lot for a young age....A was undernourished too when she came home, We caught her lying about being full so that her "playtime" wasn't wasted. She grew 10 lbs and 4 inches in 2 months!!!!
