Again--another try. Seeking out birthparents of a baby boy born @ St. Joseph's in Pittsburgh. His DOB is 6/29/66. Conflicting info from his adoptive father (whose memory is failing) and his deceased adoptive mother. She said a catholic orphanage--HE says he was adopted through Allegheny County. This is the only info we have. That and he is very tall and athletic (if this helps). Want to make this a special 38th birthday for my wonderful man.
Have him write a letter to the Allegheny County court requesting his non-id and a search for his birthparents. Allegheny County is the best of all the Pa counties for helping adoptees. Even if he was adopted through an orphanage, the records should still be filed with the county. Write to: Janice McNamara, Adoption Department; Orphans Court of Allegheny County; 437 Grant Street; 1700 Frick Building; Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
Good luck. You are doing a wonderful thing helping him.

I seem to be having trouble replying. Could he have been born in West Penn Hosp, on Nov 20, 1966 and could the mother been in a Methodist home outside of Pittsburgh?
