:D CSS stands for Catholic Social Services and there is usually one in every county, I just looked in the phone book for them! You sound just like me, I have PCOS also and have gone thru 4 inseminations and 1 invitro, last yr after the invitro, we decided to take a break and thats when we started looking into adoption, but agencies were so expensive. CSS takes a lot longer but it's about 75% cheaper. No offense but are you overweight? I am and my doctor said if i lost weight it might help and guess what? I lost 10 lbs bcz we're going on vacation(only 10) and i just found out i am pregnant!!! After 3 1/2 yrs of all the procedures and meds, i get pregnant just by losing 10 lbs!!! If my doctor told me it was a definite, i would have starved myself long ago!! The nice thing w/ CSS is that since we're alrdy on the list, they will wait untill i give birth to a live baby b4 we're taken off list (you cant adopt an infant from them if you have children) Good luck w/ everything! If you want, you can email me directly at SSmar930@aol.com -- we sound like we have a lot in common!!
thanks sos930 for your reply...Yes I am overweight...I did loose like 50 lbs a while ago and gained it back, but I am tring to loose it now. Your story is amazing and I am sooooooooooo happy for you. I love to her success stories makes me hold my head up thinking one day that may be me. Plz feel feel free to e-mail me any time as well...........christi7415@aol.com
Hi all,
Congratulations to you sos930. I am happy to hear that just by losing 10 lbs. you were able to become pregnant. I also have PCOS and I am only 28 years old and am not overweight. I have been through 3 inseminations and 1 IVF and still have not concieved.
I also want to add that we have been working with CSS and they have different programs... adoption, foster to adopt, and foster care. The adoption program you cannot have any other children, biological or adopted. The 2 other programs you can have any number of children. The foster adopt program are children that are currently foster children that will most likely be adopted and they are working to get parental rights terminated. Our son to be was in this program and everything has worked out excellent for us. We would recommmed CSS to everybody and the cost is almost nothing. They also will give the child a subsidy up until the age of 18 even post adoption if they are any race besides caucasian, over the age of 5, are a part of a sibling group, or are special needs.
Hope this helps,
Tracy

Hi Everyone,
My husband and I are looking at a sibling group we found at adoptpakids.org. Their will be no cost to us as ALL of the children on this site ( at least that's the way I understood it ) are considered special needs for one reason or another. Their are not many babies on this site if thats what you need, but alot of loving children just wanting to be loved back. My husband and I also were told that these children WILL receive a monthly subsidy, and the medical card which will help me to be a stay-at-home Mom. If I can be of any further assistance...gregzgirl99@pennswoods.net.
