LOL
I don't think this was ment to really be funny but I don't think that healthy Jewish kids are out there. All the kids I have seen through Jewish adoptive services are high need medical kids.
If I read in a child's profile anything about church I know that won't work.
I think you are correct. I have not seen healthy Jewish kids up for adoption with the exception of older kids who may be neglected or abused and so have other issues. I know, here in South Florida, Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options has placed sibling groups who do not have health issues and have even occasionally placed a Jewish infant. This is, however, very unusual. Most Jewish parents placing a baby for adoption are doing so because of a genetic disorder or some other special needs that they do not feel equipped to deal with.
I am a real campaigner for Jewish families who feel they can handle it, to consider adopting a Jewish child with special needs. We have adopted three and I can tell you that it is a joy and very rewarding. I think I remember though that you do not have any kiddos yet, and you may want a few less issues with your first!

I am in the process of registering with an international adoption agency in Philadelphia - my first question was "is it possible to get a healthy, Jewish child?" and I was told that the chance is less than 1%. I've decided to adopt from Ukraine, since my grandparents are from that area - for me, this feels like some kind of connection.
