I had posted some information that was pretty much under assumption. I have done some searching and thought I could broaden my search. This is what I came up with.
I'm searching for my 1/2 brother. I know only a few details because I just learned of the adoption 2 years ago. Because my mother is very emotional about it, I'm afraid to ask too many questions. I'm willing to talk to her about if I have found someone that may be my brother. I know that she was in college in Mississippi during her pregnancy. She was originaly from Louisiana. I believe that she was in a home for unwed mothers for a period of time during her pregnancy. She could have given birth in MS or LA. I'm not sure. If you have any information that may even somewhat match please reply! Thanks!

I too am trying to help search for someone and don't have much to work with. My brother-in-law was left at St. Vincent Depaul in New Orleans in March 1968 and presumed to be about 4 days old. He was adopted 8 months later by wonderful parents when no one ever came forward to claim him. He has been reluctant to search for any family since he felt abandoned. I just know somewhere there is a mother in pain or siblings that have heard rumors and want to know about him. He is a sweet, wonderful man. Somewhere there is someone wonderful who made him. I know 1968 is probably too early but you are the first person with a story that sounded remotely close. Please let me konw if you want to speak more. Good Luck, Sammi

I was born in New Orleans, possibly at Baptist Memorial Hospital, on August 22, 1971. I had tried searching for my birth mother before. All I know is that she was a college student and my father was a graduate student. I also know that she tried to search for me in the 90's (perhaps?).

My brother is adopted, so am I. He was born in April 1975. I think April, don't know much about the birthfamily. he was born at the volunteers of america in shreveport LA, please let me know if you know of any other information.l

If your birthmother tried searching for you in the 90's there is a good chance that she registered with the state adoption registry. Have you registered?
