I just had to include a link to the Sacbee story that I had been following about Ross, the 17 year old boy who didn't want to age out of the system without a family of his own.
I didn't realize that I had "blinders" on, and had passed this boy up in the books, thinking that he seemed like a really nice boy, but we were looking for a girl aged 6-12. After I read his story in the Sacramento Bee, I asked my sw to submit our homestudy for him. I'm disappointed that we didn't get contacted for the informational meetings (and to learn about other older kids, too - helloooo Sacramento County!), but I'm so happy to see this boy find a family. You will be too, when you read his story.
Here's the story that started it all:

And here's the happy ending:

Happy reading, and have some tissues when you read!
