I am looking for my birth mother. I do not have a lot of info. because the record is sealed. I was born April 4, 1981 in Boston. Records say my mother was 18 or 19, she was Portuguese and the daughter of a doctor and a homemaker. She was torn by the decision to give me up and I still feel that pain inside me today. Looking for information!!!

Not sure how well it will pan out, as I've just gotten this info and am in the process of putting it to use, but it can't hurt.
First, call D.S.S. at (617) 748-2267. I spoke to Shiela there, and she was incredible friendly and helpful. She gave the number to call for my ID info (sounds like you might already have this, based on the info you included in your post), the number of the court in my adoption jurisdiction so I could petition to have the records unsealed (not sure of the likelihood, but worth a shot), and the name of a local search agency, which she recommended (personally I'll pass for now, but good to have for future reference if I get nowhere).
