Day Care St. Louis

Hi, I am looking for recommendations, good/bad experiences with day care facilities in the St. Louis area. I have been contacting facilities by phone and have encountered some really rude people. I visited one facility and was horrified. I am hoping someone else might be able to shine some light on this search.

What part of St. Louis? We're in KC, but both my brother and sister live in the Wentzville/Lake St. Louis area. I'd be happy to ask them....my sister works for the school district so she'd probably have some good input.

I have run into many day care providers asking us to pay extra on top of the Children's Divisions contracted amount with them. Is this normal? I didn't think they were allowed to do that. Has anyone else faced this? What did you do?

if the child is still a foster child, they cannot ask for additional fees. have the child's case worker speak with them. they have a contract with the state which says they must accept what dfs offers. once the child is adopted, you are responsible for the additional fees.
