Hi everyone....perhaps someone could give me some advice?
I found my daughter whom I had given up for adoption...Her birthday is in a couple weeks, so I sent a letter to her parents, just saying thank you for everything they did. How I didnt want to disrupt their lives, I just wanted to know how she was doing...and that I'd like to give my daughter the pearls that my father had given to me on my 18th birthday. I included my telephone number and email address. Now it's one week latter...I havent heard anything. But in the letter I put that I wouldnt contact them again unless contacted by them first. That I would like to share my part of her adoption story, to make the circle complete.....In the letter I also included a updated birthfamily history and 3 pictures of myself from when I was in High School. Does this mean that they didnt share the letter with their daughter? Does this mean that they did and she doesnt want anything to do with me? Or that my letter out of the blue just freaked them out? That wasnt my intention. UGH! I feel like my hands are tied, which they really are....I just dont like not knowing what to do, or what is happening. I feel like that scared 15 year old kid again....Any ideas:confused:

It's okay if you take a very deep breath and count to ten. We won't tell. ;)
And we are talking about the United States Postal Service, here, so unless you paid extra for overnight or 2nd/3rd day delivery, it might still be in transit.
And while it was a hairtrigger reaction - the adoption finders contacted me, and I was ready, some kids need a little more time to adjust.
Curiosity will get the best of her - and them. I'd put money on it.
(I'll bet on underwater basketweaving, though. So your mileage may vary. :p )
But good luck!
