Looking for my mother's birthfamily...she was on adoption through Childrens Home Society...her mom may have come here to Seattle to give birth then went back to Midwest?
Yeah! We got non-identifying info. Here is some of it. The Adoptee (my mother) was born June 11, 1954 and named Joan by her mother.
Her birth mother was 22, born 1932 in Iowa. She was Irish with 5'3" about 125-130lbs. Green Eyes, fair complexion. Her name is Betty Jean!
Betty Jean came to Seattle from Iowa when she found out she was preggers. Didn't want her family to know, never told the father either. She may have worked as a stenographer?? She had a 17 year old sister (red head).
The birth father's name was Ivan, he lives in Illinois. He is of English/French decent. About 5'8" with blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. I believe he had a older brother and maybe a few other siblings.
I am just excited to have ANY info. I don't have all the info in front of me, but jotted down notes when my Mother called me with the non-Id.
If any of this looks familiar...please let me know.
We do have a intermediary searching. They have an address for the father in Illinois. It has been a few weeks since they sent the letter to him. I am guessing that he may be a very surprised man. I am excited, but guarded on whether he will want contact at this point. I am hoping that they will be able to find Betty Jean.

Have had contact and more with my mother's father!!
Haven't found her mother yet. Her father was married to someone else when she got pregnant. Mother didn't give her real name on non ID . I think it is Nancy Jean..she lived in Illinois. I will confirm with my mom about the alleged name and repost if I am wrong.
