Does anyone know of any support groups in the northern NJ area where people can meet others that have a story about adoption. This forum is awesome, but my boss looks at me funny when he sees me typing away. :D
I guess I'm looking to talk about the entire experience. Deciding to adopt, completing the home study, waiting, being considered, waiting some more, being considered again, waiting, and then finally being called for me to consider a child. (We didn't mind the waiting so much) :)
Well, write back if you can.......Monica

There is Concerned Persons for Adoption in I believe Whippany, NJ. Maplewood has a GLBT group for adoption as well but you don't have to be GLBT to attend. NJARCH.org has a lot of groups listed. They also have a warmline and can match your needs with an existing group in the area. They're very helpful people. All are non-profit groups.
