I have a sister who was given up for adoption aprox. 1950. We believe it was through lutheran social services. It could be minnesota or North Dakota.
There is an online group called ReunitingMinnesota.com It is a yahoo group. They are great at giving you the resources to do a search yourself. I reccommend joining this group. They helped me find my entire birth family.
God Luck to you......

Hi. I was born in 1953 and adopted through L.S.S. then known as Luthern Welfare. I got info from the adoption agency that said I had a half sister. Anyway, my name may have been Laurie Ellen Davidson or Davison, and I think I went home with my bmom but was given to my aparents at 2 months of age.
Do you have any more info? I have a little from Luthern Social Services. After starting this search I have found out the this info can be very wrong!!! Thanks for the reply...I really don't know what I'm doing.
Hi! I just signed up to join that group yesterday. I am not too good on the computer but I hope I can navigate my way back to see if they accepted me. Thanks for the intrest in the"quest" I just started a month ago and I really feel alot of stuff I didn't know was in there.Oh well...

L.S.S. was really helpful and I am so glad you suggested it. I talked to someone there and they gave me really easy directions to follow!!!
