I have recently been told information about my birth parents. The name I was given at birth was Marcia Balkus. She was a secretary, he was an engineer in Hartford, CT. The social worker on the case was my adoptive mother's sister's best friend from college, named Joan Aperton. Birth mother was Catholic and I was placed through Catholic Charities in Hartford, CT.

I don't know an exact age but I got the impression when I was told that the birth mother was relatively young 18-24. The ethnic background Lithuanian.
If you are the Marcia Balkus, you were born at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, Ct. Your age matches up.
I could be your aunt.
If so, your mother is still living in Ct., age 72. You would have many aunts and uncles still living.
Am sure your birth mother would be relieved to know you are well and would look forward to a meeting for both of you.
The occupation given for your birth mother matches. However the occupation for your birth father may not be. He most likely passed on.
Wishing you the best.
If you are the Marcia Balkus who I am an aunt to you, your ethnic background would be Lithuanian and Austrian/Hungarian. You most likely would have auburn hair with blue eyes since the family traits are strong. There are a few brown eyed uncles that you would have. Your IQ most likely would be above average; very possibly artistically inclined and possibly have a strong business mind.
If you are the Marcia Balkus I am thinking of, I was not allowed to see you when you were born.
Wishing you happiness.
I found my birth mother and we have met twice. She is having a hard time with it. I would like information on my birth father. She is unwilling to share.
