I have posted before about Strattra and for a while we had some improvement in my daughter's behaviors but then things started falling apart for her.
We have had many changes I was married in July to the guy I had been dating for 2 years. Worked gradually at him spending time with her and doing things as a family before we married. Thought I had it together boy was I wrong. About a month an half ago we figured out she was trying to make my husband sick putting medication on his toothbrush. (Yes right back into counseling for her). We still have time for just mom time without my husband and she has time with him too. By the way she is 11 years old. Last week she got in a fight at school and ended the fight by threating to stab the other child with a pair of scissors. Today it was screaming and swearing in class because I called the school and said I would be 10 mins. late and for her to wait in the school for me and not outside.
Her diagnosis is ADHD, learning disabled- IQ 71, Tramatic Brain Injury and attachment issues.
Thankfully my husband is very supportive (protective of his toothbrush now but still supportive). Current medications is Concerta and Prozak we discontinued the Strattra last month after weaning her off of it for the past 6 months. We did not see many differance in her behaviors on the medication or with the slow decrease. Though the one thing I am noticing is her behavior appears to be much better thought out -planning it. Instead of the impulsive things we had been seeing. I like to see her thinking clearer but not this clear!
Maybe someone with an outside look may have some ideas of survival with this child right now I would appreciate it.

These seem much more like behaviors due to attachment or brain injury. You might want to check with a nuerologist if you haven't already done so.
As much as possible, let school handle school. Although, if my son behaves in a way that indicates he is using his teacher as a babysitter, I have offered to join him in class as babysitting would be my job. I've only gone to school once in 9 years(and I have 9 kids, so 8 of them decided to handle their behavior at school without my help)
Any chance hormones are kicking in? I know meds for anger were needed for my son after his kicked in. He also has a brain injury.
If it were me, I'd check nuerological, medical, and look at www.radzebra.org for attachment info.

Our 10-year-old daughter took METADATE (an ancient form of RITALIN!) There were 2- 10 mg. doses per day. There were initial changes, she was calmer but sleepy. To get to the point, she is now on 18 mg. CONCERTA and it's one dose per day and we like the effects. It's not so much of a slowed-down high - just a less highstrung child!
I agree with Lucy. You should probably have your child evaluated by a Neuro-Psychologist, better than a neurologist, to determine what learning issues/neurological issues, etc are present and where. In addition, it may be that the attention problems are not ADHD, but are actually caused by the brain problems and, therefore, would be treated differently. regards
