Catholic Charities Search Service

Six weeks ago, my brother received a letter in the mail from Catholic Charities in South Boston telling him that his birth mother had contacted the agency and wanted to see how he was and if they could have contact. They have since made contact and things are progressing nicely. The point of this post is that I called the social worker handling the request and was told that three years ago the agency changed the policy re: contact. It used to be that both parties had to request contact in writing - I know as I have been waiting 15 years for a match. As of three years ago, the agency will facilitate a search at your request and with $250.00. They will review the records, search as you choose, and initiate contact.
