My husband is searching for his half-siblings born in Hartford, CT. His mother went to St. Agnes home for unwed mothers. Her children were adopted through Catholic Charities. Both his half-brother and sister have the same father.
I was born in September of 1965, and my birth mother was at St. Agnes. I was adopted through Catholic Charities. Unfortunately I don't have much more information than that to help narrow things down. If you have more information let me know.
Good luck.

I was born in Hartford at the beginning of 1969, and also was adopted through the same agency. If you contact the agency, you can obtain a copy of your unidentifying medical record. This should give you the birth mother's age at the time of the adoption.
Thanks for the tip. I will follow up on it eventually. I just started looking at this, and I am really not sure whether or not I am interested in tracking all of this information down or not. If you have any experiences in searching for this information (and more importantly what you do with it once you have it) I would appreciate your point of view.
Thanks again.
The non-ID info will give you the age of the birth mother and possibly birth father at the time of the child's birth, and also most likely some extra info such as nationality, etc. They charge $90 for the medical sheet. The age may help in locating the birth mother, if there is other information to add to it.
The agency can also do a search for you for $200 to locate the birth mother. As I understand it, the waiting list is a few months long.
