Hello,
I have posted in the past. But just have another question.
My husband will be a member a year in May. We hope to be sealed at that time. So, my question is can we start the process like paperwork and stuff before the sealing. Do we have to wait? I understand not to be matched but just start the process of all that it intales (SP?).
Just had a big adoption journey so far, just was thinking if any have had this experience.
We have been married for three years. I am so proud of my husband and what he has accomplished so far and for me as well. LDS Family services is a big part of his conversion. Just can't wait to work with them.
Sorry for the long message. Thanks for listening. Have a Great Day!

P.S. I know HF has a plan for us. Just want to try every angle.
I really am not sure if they will let you start the paperwork yet. I don't see why they couldn't at least give you the paperwork to work on and then turn it in after your sealing. You might talk to your bishop or the LDSFS director.
I wish I had my paperwork still so that I could at least show what they will be asking for. While waiting you could get started on the adoption journey by starting to get your profile together. A good place to go to see what other LDS couples have done is www.itsaboutlove.org. This took a long time for me to complete. Doing this now while waiting might help to alleviate some of the stress and help you to feel like you are moving forward even if they won't let you fill out the paperwork until you are sealed.
Good luck and keep me posted!

Thanks for the reply.
I have been working thru my adoption journey for about 13months. I have a profile that we put together a year ago. Needs a little update but not much. I am going thru an independent attorney now. Just looking into other options if nothing happens by May.
Hope you get your paperwork soon. Have a Great Day!
