I have started looking into putting Kelcee into preschool a couple of days a week. I think it will help tremendously with her speech too.
This is a very small preschool only about 14 children. There are 2 teachers and about 4 helpers. They seem to have quite a bit of structure which is what Kelcee operates on best.
What else should I be looking for?
I don't know, but since we're in a tiny town, near a not so large community, we're thinking of sending A to the local itty bitty preschool at one of the Christian churches here - it's run by a woman who is a teacher, grandma and GREAT lady who goes to MIL's church (not Catholic, but that's not an option for us). It's close, there will be kids from around here there, and most importantly - we KNOW the people running it and what he'll be learning! For us, it's just about the socialization and reinforcing the Christian principles.
Where my nieces go , they do a GREAt job of preparing and making sure the kids know the necessary skills before kindergarten.

The Catholic school where we want to send H doesn't start until they're 2 1/2, which will fall in March of next year, so I think we're going to wait until he's closer to 3, since I want him to go all the way through there. He is in music classes and playgroups now, and will start tumbling classes in a couple of months.
So far, all my mom friends w/kids a little older have really encouraged the mom's day out or preschool programs. They've all said that it made kindergarten much easier.
