Hi my name is Nicole I am a 25 year old American college student. I have been extremely bothered by what has happened in Asia as I am sure so many of you are. So I have decided to do something. I am a nursing major but my real passion is children. So my plan is to sponsor at least two orphanages in India and help these poor children who have experienced this terrible tsunami. I have already started getting a group together and our plan is to collect the things these children need such as clothing, shoes, books, paper, pencils, bedding, monetary donations etc.... My husband and I plan on personally delivering these items in June. We hope that more people will join us on our journey. What I am looking for is anyone who wants to help in any way. We are also looking for businesses to sponsor our trip to India. If anyone is interested in helping me no matter how small the contribution I would truly be overjoyed. I believe if we all come together we can truly make a difference in the lives of children who are suffering. You can e-mail me at butterfly79@comcast.net . Thanks,Nicole

Nicole, you have such a generous heart, but it's so easy these days for bad people to exploit the Tsunami situation by creating false charities. So if you do not hear back from people here, do not get discouraged. Perhaps you can create a group with your church or your local Red Cross Chapter. Best of luck

Thanks, I actually have gotten my college involed and I have found an adoption agency that does humantarian aid. If anyone does want to help I would be glad to provide them with phone numbers and web sutes so they could verify me and my project. I think the people that are exploting the tsunami victims are truly horrible and I think they should go to prison and stay there. Nicole
