We are in NE Florida (Duval County) and it took us 2 weeks from submittal of our home study to approval. We wish you tons of luck :)
From start to finish, it took us 11 months. This includes the MAPP's classes, two homestudies (foster & adopt) and then the final licensure. We got our adoption licensure in August and then went back for our Foster to Adopt license which we received in November. We got our first placement 7 days after we were licensed.
We have had our FD for nearly four months.

We're in Pinellas county, and it took us close to 3 months after MAPP until we were licensed. I have no regrets, had we been licensed earlier we wouldn't have the kids we have now :-)
We're in Sarasota County. From Mapp classes to finish it took us 3 1/2 mths to get licensed but we did have an ICPC and so they tried pushing things thru faster for us.
Once the request for the license was sent in - we heard back in less that 2 weeks that we were licensed.
