Special needs AA girl

Our family is interested in adopting a special needs AA baby girl. Does anyone have good recommendations on how to find our daughter? Could anyone with experience with Acres of Hope please pm me? Thanks so much for your help!

If you go through the state system your costs are about nothing. I have seen several young AA baby girls (with and w/o special needs) in my area.

If you post what state you are in I am sure someone can point you in the right direction

I am concerned about going through the state because it takes so long to finalize an adoption and they give the birthmom and her family so many chances to get the baby back. I have also heard that you have to allow the birthmom visitation until the adoption is final. I just don't think that could handle it.

The birth family is certianly given first priority to get the child back. But their are cases that the parents sign off and walk away too.

In our state we can see if children's parents have already had their rights terminated - if so their would be no contact - and the child is in your own for 6 months and then adoption is finalized.
