In October (our 3rd permenancy hearing), it was decided by the Court, that the juvenile office could go ahead and file TPR on our fd's parents. It has yet to be done. Everyone agrees with the TPR, but we were told our case was on the back burner because it's not a high priority case because our fd is not in any kind of "danger." Is it common for TPR to take this long to get filed? Isn't there some kind of law that states that TPR should be prepared and filed within so many days? Can someone offer some advice? We have 2 adopted sons that were adopted through a private agency. We've never been the DFS route and boy, is it different.
Thank you.

Our permenancy hearing was in March of last year and TPR was filed by the juvenile office in August....at the same time our attorney filed. He said he didn't know they would file that quickly, so they ended up receeding theirs and we went ahead with ours. We were on track to go to trial in Jan/Feb of this year but bp's consented in October so we finalized Dec 9th :D :D . The wheels of justice move ever so slowly!
