Reena was placed with us at 16 days old. The adoption was finalized LATE in 2004 ~ she had not been baptized sue to state restrictions.
But on April 17, 2005 she will be baptized! :D
The entire parish has been personally invited (haha over 500 families) ~ everyone has supported her, loved her and welcomed her unconditionally all of her life.
They even threw me an adoption shower when TPR happened! (she was then 2)
I can not say enough about all of them.
So, instead of MORE gifts for Reena (trust me when I tell you that the communty has showered her more then most - in fact I think they adopted her too)
I added this to the invitaitons, opinions please
~ In lieu of gifts,
Reena and her family request that a small donation be made to the agency that helped
bring her home and keep her safe:
Catholic Charities Foster Care Services
(address)
~ Thank you and Peace be with you

I remember how excited I was when my first two boys were baptized. Like your parish, ours really supports our family. I am patiently waiting for TPR on J so that he can be baptized.

The looks on the community's faces when they realized Reena was about to be baptized was amazing! More then half of the parish got teary eyed ~ not just Dad and I!

We attended baptism classes last night. Oh my! I though DH was going to have a meltdown he got so emotional - this is his 2nd time in baptism class, my first ~ he has a son from a previous marriage and this isnalmost new to him!
