Hello,
Does anyone know what a Decision making hearing is, and what goes on there. Out of the blue I have to attend one, and I was just told a few days ago. I have a foster daughter in my care that I would love to adopt, but have not kept my hopes up because no one will ever tell me anything.
Can someone shed some light on this? Please...If they want to give her back, why do I have to go and hear it?? I would rather them just tell me.

This post reminded me of an Ostrich with its head stuck in the sand! You don't want to get your hopes up about adopting because your not told anything, yet you don't want to go to the hearing where the childs future will be decided.
I believe its imparitive for foster parents to attend these hearings if at all possible. Who is going to know the affects of the abuse, neglect, visitation etc on these children but us who care for them 24/7. Yeah, you can tell the worker and express your intentions but, something is always lost in the interpretation.
